GrowInCubeâą is developed with a clear goal â to offer a smart, sustainable and affordable solution for growing at home. We do not believe in disposable products, but in products that last a long time, are locally produced and leave a minimal footprint.
What we already do well
Local and resource-efficient production
- Manufactured in Sweden â shorter transport, lower emissions
- Additive manufacturing on demand â only the material needed, no mass-produced series that risk going unsold and being discarded.
- Less than 1% waste in the entire production
Renewable energy
- Production with 100% hydropower â clean and controllable
Material selection
- Over half of Sweden's municipalities now recycle hard plastic - that's why we have chosen food-safe PETG for GrowInCube, a durable, UV-resistant and recyclable material with a long lifespan and low environmental impact.
- No metals, electronics or chemical surface treatments that make recycling difficult!
Long service life
- Designed for at least 5â7 years of use
- Tested for 18 months to last
Packaging and logistics
- Environmentally friendly packaging â no unnecessary âdesigner boxesâ that just become waste
- Smart packaging reduces both costs and climate impact
Why it matters
Many grow boxes on the market are made of cheap PP plastic in China. This often means:
- High production waste
- Fossil-based energy, often coal-fired
- Transports of a thousand miles or more
- Short lifespan â cracks and needs to be replaced quickly
- Poor working conditions
The result: a climate impact per unit used that is several times higher than for GrowInCubeâą.
Our vision going forward
We are proud to already offer a low-impact product today â but we want to go further:
- More recycled material in production
- Better recycling of PETG throughout Sweden
- Products that can be upgraded and repaired instead of replaced
- Further minimization throughout the chain: raw material, production, transport and use
